Stories From My Motherland is a “fireside” open mic experience that brings together generations to share, preserve, and celebrate the stories that have shaped us. From folk tales shared around village firesides to modern digital narratives told through screens, Insta and TikTok stories, this event bridges the cultural gap between Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z generations. Every participant is a storyteller, contributing to a living archive of memory, identity, and shared heritage.
From old tales whispered by grandparents under starry skies, to schoolyard legends, first city shocks, campus survival stories, career pivots, heartbreaks, hustle wins, and now Instagram stories and digital diaries, this event celebrates the power of storytelling as our oldest technology and our strongest connector.
